This soup is amazing! I love that the package of spices has a shopping list on the back so you know what to buy. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. After trying this soup a couple of times, I have made my own modifications to my family’s liking~I add 4 cups of cut up vegetables instead of 2 cups (usually I use sweet potato or butternut squash, potato and celery) and instead of 2 tomatoes I add 4-6 fresh cut up tomatoes. Sometimes we eat it as is, like a soup, or if it thickens up quite a bit, spooned over basmati rice. Even my “carnivore “ husband enjoys this vegetarian dish.
I love cooking curries, but rarely do i find that my pantry spices are fresh enough for the couple of times a month I need them. The spices from Master Indian are perfect for me! Just the right amount, great blends (especially when I need to cook for "I don't like spicy" friends), and I really love the freshness. This is a wonderful product to cut down on the wastage from my pantry, at the same time giving me more dinner options!

Very lentilly in a good way. It was a very nice soup and a large recipe so we had some nice leftovers.
Recently added tofu, vegetables and lentils to this hearty meal. It was very delicious and easy to make.

Disappointed! I eat a lot of Indian curries, unfortunately this did not taste or was spicy enough to call an Indian curry, the taste was pleasant but I am not sure what I could say what the taste represents? Also your recipe should allow for more juice,

We made the Masoor Dal Soup (Vegan) as per the easy instructions. We loved the texture and taste of this dish.
We actually used it as a Dal dish on cooked rice, as you can make it as thin or thick as you wish.
We have made Dal before, but this is the best we have ever had.

So strange - I opened this email just as I was eating Masoor Dal soup!
This soup has all the components but tastes flat. I followed instructions and quantities. The broth is thin - I would substitute chicken stock (or coconut water) to give it better body.

I haven't tried them, yet. (they are stocking stuffers), so I've only given the 4/5 stars for now. But I love the look of the slim packages. fyi, one shipment came in a manila envelope which was obviously manhandled by Canada Post (a couple ripped holes in envelope, force-folded it to fit in mailbox) but product was still in good condition.
